The shop was founded 50 years by Amato Eydallin, who was one of the first ski instructors in Italy. He started instructing before the second world war in 1936 in Sestriere, amoung his clients were King Umberto II, (latterly exiled) and the Agnelli family, the founders of Fiat. It was thanks to a large tip from one of his pupils that he started investing in Sauze d’Oulx.
Renato & Sons
Renato (Amato’s son), now oversees the running of the shop with his 2 sons Marco and Simone. Renato became an instructor at the age of 18, and National trainer at the age of 21, he trained the local ski club for 12 years.
Marco and Simone both started skiing at the age of 3, and trained and raced with the Sauze ski club for over 10 years. Marco, having passed his ski instructors and club trainers exams dedicated himself

to the up and coming discipline of Freestyle gaining success in British and Italian championships. He and 2 friends have founded the renowned Freeskicamp
freestyle ski school, which is sponsored by Nordica, Invicta, Spy Optic, Quicksilver and other big names in winter sports. They have also written a book on freestyle technique which is used by skis schools and have been appointed national freestyle trainers.
Simone was in the Piemonte regional team for a while, but his goal was always to become an “istruttore”an instructors instructor, the most prestigious qualification in Italian skiing. At 19 he became a ski instructor, at 20 a ski club trainer, and 22 a national trainer and at 23 he became the youngest “Istruttore” in Italy, and one of only 30 instructors in Italy to have all 4 qualifications. He is the most highly qualified ski instructor in Sauze d’Oulx. He works for the Sauze d’Oulx ski club, teaching youngsters that want to become instructors. Simone has also had the opportunity of working with World Cup Swiss race preparation teams. All of them have enormous experience and passion of mountain sports and life.
